The Executive Committee has been working in many areas of IRES this year. Each Committee has also been dedicated to many projects, and we have some exciting updates to share that I hope everyone will enjoy.
CDS Committee has been working to put together a great array of topics and ideas for the upcoming conference in July. This year’s theme is “Building Connections in a Changing Regulatory World.” All of IRES members received a save-the-date email, so remember to mark your calendar for July 21-23, 2024, in Bonita Springs, Florida. LeAnn Crow and team are doing a fantastic job and we are looking forward to this year’s conference!
The Meetings and & Elections Committee members have been working to contract with a hotel in the Houston area for our CDS Conference in 2025. Thanks to Sheri Marston and her team for quickly working on this task! We will announce dates and the exact location once plans are finalized! We will then look towards CDS 2026 for the contract once the 2025 contract is in place.
The Executive Committee voted recently to revamp the IRES website at the suggestion of our Publications Committee Chair, Chrystal Bartuska. The current timeline is to have this project completed this year. We hope to improve the website to be more modern and be a great resource for events happening with IRES!
The Education Committee continues to work diligently to provide meaningful and educational monthly webinars. Maria Ailor and her team are making great progress at filling up the entire year with excellent content!
The Accreditation and Ethics Committee, under the leadership of Mary Nugent, the Finance Committee, under the leadership of Tom McIntire, and the Membership and Benefits Committee continue to steer us along as well.
Last but not least, the BHPA will be announcing dates soon for general membership participation in the next offering of the Core 1 Course! Additionally, the next MCM is currently scheduled for the only in-person offering at the IRES Foundation in La Jolla, CA, April 18-20, 2024. The design of a new AMCM course is also underway with more information to come soon.
Speaking of the IRES Foundation, don’t forget to register for the IRES Foundation School, in sunny La Jolla, California, April 21-23, 2024. The agenda and all information are posted on their website at https://www.ires-foundation.org/events
Many areas of progress happening at IRES, and more upcoming initiatives to be excited about! If any of these projects sound interesting, please volunteer and become a committee member and help shape IRES for the future! Thank you to all of our volunteers, especially the Executive Committee and Board of Directors!
