Are You on Track to Complete Your Continuing Education?
Do you have a plan to complete your 15 continuing education (CE) credits by August 31st? If the answer is “no” and you’re looking for ways to earn CE credits, consider the following options:
Attend a Seminar or Conference: You can earn up to 12 CE credits for insurance-related seminars and conferences that provide a certificate of attendance. To earn all 15 CE credits, attend the annual Career Development Seminar (CDS), which begins on July 27th in Houston, Texas.
Write an Article for The Regulator®: You can earn up to 5 CE credits for each insurance-related article you author for The Regulator®. For more information on how to submit an article, please contact the IRES office.
Earn an MCM® Designation: Attending a Market Conduct Management (MCM) program provides 15 CE credits. A list of upcoming MCM programs is available on the IRES website.
Participate in an IRES Committee or Subcommittee: By actively participating in IRES committees and/or subcommittees, you can earn up to 3 CE credits. A list of IRES committees can be found on the IRES website.
Take a Self-Study Insurance-Related Course: Many courses offered by national insurance institutes and educational providers qualify for CE credits. Additionally, many of these providers offer discounts to qualifying general members (i.e., regulators and independent contractors). For more information, visit the Membership Discount Programs page on the IRES website.
Please refer to the NICE Program Manual for complete details about what qualifies for CE credit. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the IRES office.
