Expanding the Frontier of Insurance Regulation is the theme for the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society's annual Career Development Seminar (CDS). Thanks to the hard work of Mark Hooker, chair of this year's Education Committee, Joe Bieniek, Education Committee vice-chair, CDS co-chairs Wanda LaPrath and Stephen Martuscello, the CDS Section Chairs and their respective committees, the CDS August 29-31, 2010 will one again provide attendees with access to leaders and key individuals involved in shaping the insurance environment. Whether you're a seasoned regulator or just beginning your regulatory career, the CDS is sure to offer a variety of excellent topics that will help expand your knowledge.
The CDS will once again officially begin on the evening of Sunday, August 29, 2010, with an opportunity to socialize and network with colleagues during a welcome reception. Monday and Tuesday will be packed with informative and enlighten general sessions and concurrent breakout sessions on topics of interest to regulators and industry representatives alike.

General Sessions
Sessions of interest to individuals working in a wide-range of positions, whether working for an insurance department or for the industry.
Closing Sessions
The closing sessions are the last sessions of the CDS. They are larger breakout sessions co-sponsored by multiple sections that touch on broader topics applicable individuals working in various areas of insurance regulation or the industry.
Consumer Services & Complaint Handling Susan Ezalarab, Chair
Targets subject matter of interest to those working in consumer service areas of insurance departments or insurance companies.
Enforcement & Compliance Section Betty M. Bates, Chair
This year the sessions geared toward individuals working in the enforcement and compliance arena whether it is as a fraud investigator or in some other capacity are integrated with sessions hosted by several of the other sections.
Financial Section Donald Carbone, & Jimmie Newsome, Co-Chairs
Sessions sponsored by this section are aimed at financial examiners and financial analysts or others interested in the financial examination/analysis process.
Information Technology Section Cynthia M. Amann, Chair
